Undergraduate Admissions

You can apply to Hellenic American University at any time during the year. Academic terms run for 12 weeks and normally begin in late September, January, and April of each year.

Each complete application packet is reviewed individually. Your academic background, involvement in extra-curricular activities, special talents, accomplishments, and recommendation letters by your teachers, counselors, and employers are taken into consideration.

Graduate Admissions

Hellenic American University welcomes applicants from many different countries, backgrounds and traditions. This enhances the diversity and global character of the university experience at HAU. If you are interested in experiencing the breadth, rigor and method of an American university education at less expense than an equivalent private higher education in the United States, you are welcome to apply.

The Ph.D. program in Applied Linguistics provides advanced-level training in the academic study of a range of language-related and culture-related issues. It includes initial coursework and substantial research components. The learning environment includes both classroom work and on-line communication between students and with faculty members. The Program is intended for a broad range of working professionals in a variety of occupational fields, but is specifically designed for practitioners who work in the Teaching of English to Speakers of other Languages (TESOL), English language testing or translation/interpreting (with English as the source or target language).
