Admission to Professional Master of Business Administration (PMBA)
If you are interested in the Professional MBA program, you can submit your application at any time during the year. Applications are processed in the order received. Each complete application packet is reviewed individually with academic background, professional experience and leadership potential taken into consideration. Particular emphasis is given to professional competence, personal qualities and contributions to the profession and/or the community, such as professional presentations or publications, teaching or mentoring, consulting, professional volunteer work as community service or for or for non-profit organizations.
Academic terms run for 12 weeks and normally begin in September, January and April of each year.
Admission Procedures
Your application package must include the following:
- PMBA Application Form: Please print the application form, complete it and mail it to the admissions office. Be sure to complete the essay outlining your values, aims and ambitions for the future.
- Official Transcripts: Ask your college/university to mail your official transcript directly to Hellenic American University. You may also submit it with your application in a sealed envelope.
- Recommendation letters from two individuals who can provide information about your academic and professional abilities and attest to your capacity for graduate study. Each referee should complete a recommendation form, seal it in an envelope, and sign his or her name across the envelope seal.
- A current résumé.
- Evidence of English Language Proficiency: Evidence of English Language proficiency is required of all students. If English is not your native language you are requested to submit evidence of English language proficiency.
- A copy of your passport or I.D. card and two passport size photographs.
- A non- refundable application fee of € 50.
- Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) scores, although not required, will assist the University with its decision.
Interview: Every application packet is reviewed individually. Therefore, it is important that we meet our students in person. If this is not feasible we will contact you and speak to you over the phone. The interview will be conducted by a faculty member from the Department and will evolve around your prior academic and professional experience.
Evidence of English Language Proficiency
Acceptable forms of evidence include:
- An undergraduate or graduate degree from an institution in which English is the language of instruction.
- Official results of the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) taken within the last two years with a minimum score of 230 (CBT) or 88 (iBT) or 575 on the paper-based TOEFL.
- Official results of the Test of English for International Communication (TOEIC) taken within the last two years with a minimum score of 850.
- University of Michigan or Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English.
- Other evidence of proficiency will be reviewed individually.
All application material should be either the original documents or notarized copies. Documents which are not in English must be accompanied by certified English translations.
All applications and support materials are retained by Hellenic American University. Once submitted, no materials will be returned to the applicant.
