Overview
- Hellenic American University was founded in 2004 by an Act of the New Hampshire (US) Legislature
- All degree programs are approved by the New Hampshire Postsecondary Education Commission (NHPEC), the Granite State’s university regulatory body
- The University has been granted Candidacy by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) and is engaged in the process of obtaining full regional accreditation in accordance with NEASC’s timelines and standards
- The University offers: six (6) undergraduate degree programs, five (7) graduate degree programs, and one (1) doctoral-level (PhD) program
- The University provides an urban campus environment in the fashionable Kolonaki district of central Athens
Duration of Studies
- Duration of undergraduate studies:
- ASENA program: two (2) years of full-time study
- All other undergraduate programs: four (4) years of full-time study
- Duration of graduate studies:
- MBA/PMBA/MSIT: two (2) years of full-time study
- MAT/MAAL: at least one (1+) year of full-time study
- Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics: approximately three (3) years of full-time study
- The Academic Year is comprised of a three-term calendar.

- Gender & Age Data
- 190 undergraduate students of whom 43% are men and 57% are women, with an average age of 22 years
- 155 graduate students of whom 46% are men, 54% are women, with an average age of 33 years
- International students are welcomed from 18 countries
- The retention rate over a three-year period is 89% for graduate students and 92% for undergraduate students.

- € 155 per credit / term undergraduate students
- € 265 per credit MBA program / term graduate students
- € 335 per credit PMBA program / term graduate students
- € 238 per credit MAAL program / term graduate students
- € 238 per credit MAT program / term graduate students
- € 238 per credit MACI program / term graduate students
- € 334 per credit MSIT program / term graduate students
- € 520 per credit for Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics degree
