Business Administration Program (BSBA)

The BSBA is offered both for full-time and part-time attendance. Full-time students can expect to finish their program in 36-48 months, while part-time students will need over 4 years to complete their degree, depending on the number of courses taken each semester. Each semester lasts 12 weeks. New classes start in September and January of each year. Classes are administered in the morning & afternoon. Courses, materials and faculty interaction are offered in English, exclusively. A total of 126 credits (41 courses + Capstone Project). The academic advisor appointed to each student helps select the appropriate major and relevant electives from a variety of courses, as well as the order of courses to be taken, thereby designing a customized Bachelor’s program that fulfils the student's individual needs and goals.

The curriculum is a sequence of appropriate subjects and courses leading to competence in the students’ chosen field of study. The curriculum includes:

General Education Courses (42 credits / 14 courses)

The general education component exposes the students to a broad range of liberal arts courses. The program has been designed to establish solid English writing and oral skills, as well as standard American liberal arts requirements.

Free Electives (21 credits / 7 courses)

Through a selection of free electives, undergraduate students will be able to extend their knowledge and competency in one or several areas of general education interest, to enhance their major studies, or to create a minor area of study.

Core Business Curriculum (36 credits / 12 courses)

As students work through their general education program, they will also commence the required Core of their degree program. This part of the curriculum will equip them with foundation courses as well as discipline-specific courses that will provide them with the knowledge and competencies essential to a successful career in business administration, and that will prepare them to perform optimally in their chosen major.

Majors (24 credits / 8 courses)

In consultation with their faculty mentors, student will select one of 3 majors offered – Finance, Marketing and Information Technology Management. Each major has 8 required courses, for a total of 24 credit hours.

Capstone Project (3 credits / 1 course)

In their senior year, students will engage in a three-credit capstone project, which gives them the opportunity to review and apply relevant theories, tools, and techniques which they have acquired during their entire course of studies, in combination with whatever working and technological experiences they may possess, to a real-world environment. The course focuses upon the strategic management of the entire organization. The development of the strategic process comprises the systematic analysis and evaluation of an organization’s goals, structure, policies, and strategies designed to effectively cope with the external opportunities and threats. Students will be placed in a realistic professional team situation within which decision making must consider not only technological issues but also issues of project, personnel, and risk management, colleague and client interpersonal relationships, as well as time and resource constraints
