Program Objectives
• Ensure that students have solid foundations in information technology and business processes.
• Provide a common body of IT knowledge.
• Be sufficiently flexible to meet both institutional and student needs.
• Allow students to gain advanced standing credit and/or substitute courses for material they already know, thus enabling them to take electives both inside and outside IT.
• Offer students the opportunity to obtain practical exposure through real world experience in industry.
• Prepare students for leadership positions in the Information Technology field
Program Requirements
It is estimated that students will be eligible to attend the MSIT program with a wide range of backgrounds. More specifically, the MSIT program is appropriate for:
• Students with graduate degrees in a variety of fields including among others business, computer science and information technology.
• Students with undergraduate degrees in computer or information technology related subjects.
• Experienced IT professionals seeking to upgrade skills and to understand information technology management issues.
• Professionals from many fields seeking a change in their career.
