Testing Development
The Hellenic American University Testing Division develops two language tests which are linked to the Common European framework (CEFR) at the B1 Level and C1 level and which are recognized by the Greek state and the US state of New Hampshire. The C1 level test is accepted by the Hellenic American University for admission purposes, as well as by other universities in the UK and the Balkans.
The Testing Division also develops a written test for the certification of language teachers in the Private Language School sector in Greece and the Balkans.
The Hellenic American University Testing division has collaborated on major research projects with Cito, the highly prestigious Dutch National Institute for Educational Measurement. It has also collaborated with the English Language Institute, University of Michigan, USA, to provide academic support in the form of teaching materials, research projects and teacher education seminars for the University of Michigan Examination for the Certificate of Competency in English (ECCE) and the Examination for the Certificate of Proficiency (ECPE).
